I am grateful for...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I woke up this morning and greeted the sun as I sat on the hill near my home in Novato. I felt such joy and gratitude for all that I was seeing and for what I was not seeing.

I thought about how I would be joining friends this day and we would be celebrating with each other. Not just the food and festivities but gratitude-- For each other. The gratitude of everyone’s specialness, coming together and sharing, laughing, playing, and enjoying living.

I wake up each morning with a message on my Treo that says, “I am grateful for…” Doing this each day I see all the gratitude I have for my life and the way that I am living it. I have things that are tangible – my friends, clients, colleagues, Serenity (my cat) and other things such as my health, freedom, and energy. My energy flows congruently as I acknowledge all my gratitude each day. My grateful memories are pictures that I can look at as often as I like and feel all the positive energy it brings...

Gratitude affects our whole being – mind and body. From gratitude comes a mindfulness that acknowledges not just us as individuals but also our interdependence with the universe. As we see and feel our gratitude the frame of the picture expands wider and wider, the colors are beautiful. Seeing this bigger picture helps each of us to add positive to the world in a universal way affecting many.

Today I write this as a journal of gratitude and invite you to join me by posting your gratitude, not just for today; this Thanksgiving Day 2007 but also for every day. As we share our gratitude, we are creating an enormous positive energy that vibrates throughout the world, filling the hearts and souls of those who are stretching to find their gratitude. The world becomes a better place as we express our gratitude and put our positive intentions out into the universe.

I am grateful to be sharing this with you. I am grateful for my life and how I am able to be living it. Happy Thanksgiving! – Julie Christine
